>> The WatervilleMain Street Association received a Lifetime Membership donation from the Central Washington Grain Growers. They are very appreciative of the Grain Growers’ support.
>> North Cascades Bank contributed to the WMA through the B&O Tax Credit program.
>> The Waterville Main Street Association Promotions Committee has begun a cord collection/recycling effort to help fund Waterville Days. Collection bins have been placed at Town Hall, the Waterville Recycle Center, and in the elementary office and staff lounge at the school. All types of cords, including strings of holiday lights (working or not), extension cords of all sizes, appliance, tv, computer cables, residential or commercial wire, CAT5/CAT6 wire and power cords will be accepted. If pickup is desired, please contact Lisa Davies at 745-8306.
>> A B&O Tax Credit contribution was received from Dan Augustine of Elite Woodworking.
>> The Waterville Days plans are moving right along, and the newest added feature will be the 1st Annual Waterville Stomp dance and Beer Garden, which will be held after the local firefighters’ benefit spaghetti feed on the evening of Friday, July 10th in Pioneer Park. The dance and beer garden will be held in the tennis court at Pioneer Park from 7-10 pm and admission is free.
>> The Waterville Days website has recently been updated by Bruce Clark of the Blue Rooster. Take a look, and make plans to join in on the annual festivities. The day’s event is free, and includes live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, food vendors, a classic car show, horseshoe tournament, quilt show, parade, and plenty for the kids to do. Don’t miss out!
>> The Coyote Pass Café is now open for lunch and dinner. A wonderful variety of specials, along with her regular menu are offered. The café’s hours are Mon 11-4,Thursday & Fri 11-7, Sat 8-7, and Sun 8-4.
>> Gaukroger, made a generous B&O Tax Credit contribution to the WMA.
>> The WMA Promotions Committee has received Waterville Days sponsorships from the following: Mittlestaedt Farms, Lions Club, and the Checkered Tablecloth.
>> Blue Rooster Art Gallery & Coffee Shop re-opened on Tuesday, March 31st. Their open days will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. through the Spring, Summer and Fall. Morning offerings include: various coffee drinks, fruit smoothies, cocoa, a selection of hot and cold teas, root beer floats, toast and jam, maple bars, and other baked goods. We will also open by appointment and for special events, such as: birthday parties, wedding receptions, music recitals, meetings and art shows. We will continue to display the work of local artists, for viewing and for sale. Artists who are looking for an opportunity to display their work should give us a call. >> The Checkered Tablecloth, owned by Teresa Ruud, will again be open beginning June 1st, Monday – Friday, 11 to 2-ish.
